Winter Star
There was a little
winter star
who liked to play and
run,
then when he was
asleep and warm
he’d dream of morning
sun.
Then one cold and
snowy night
The moon bent close
and said
I am so small and
thin and tired
I need your light
ahead.
I need your cold and
crisp-bright face
I need your
frost-white glow
Please help me little
winter star
And show me where to
go.
The little star
danced far ahead
With little moon
behind
And proudly lit the
path to dawn
Where you can see him
shine.
